Time Cycles & The Fractal Structure
Every cycle is a candle. Every candle can be divided into four. Every quarter can be divided again. This is the fractal nature of time.
The Cycle Stack
Time is fractal. The same AMDX logic that plays out over a week also plays out within a single 90-minute session. The cycles:
-
CYCLE TIME FRAME QUARTERS NOTES
-
Quadrennial Monthly 1 year each Election yr = Q2
-
Yearly Weekly 3 months each Jan–Mar = Q1
-
Quarterly Daily 3.25 weeks each Yearly quarter ÷ 4
-
Monthly 4-Hour 1 week each Distortion wks = Q0
-
Weekly 1-Hour Mon / Tue / Wed / Thu Fri has own function
-
Daily 15-Min Asia / London / NY AM / NY PM 6 hrs each
-
90-Min 5-Min 4 × 90min per session Within session
-
Micro 1-Min 4 × 22.5min per 90min Precision entry
The Fractal Rule
Take any cycle quarter and divide it by four — you get the cycle below. Weekly cycle Q2 (Tuesday) ÷ 4 = four 6-hour daily cycle quarters. Daily cycle Q3 (NY AM) ÷ 4 = four 90-minute quarters. Infinite in both directions.
Friday & The Weekly Cycle
Friday is not Q5. The weekly cycle has four quarters: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu. Friday’s function is to return price back inside the weekly range — toward the true week open. You can treat Friday like a regular quarter but its primary role is rebalancing. A Q4/Q1 SMT between Thursday and Friday or Friday and Monday is valid.
The Monthly Distortion Week
When a week begins in one month and ends in the following month, that is a distortion week — class it as Q0. The first full week of the new month that follows becomes Q1. Distortion weeks occur roughly every 13 weeks.
- Every candle is a cycle. Every cycle tells the same story. Q1 sets the stage, Q2 plays the next act, Q3 delivers the move, Q4 closes the chapter.
