Goal Setting, Game Plans & The Profitable Mindset

These goals are 100% within your control. A $1,000 target is not. Process goals compound into profit goals automatically over time — without the emotional damage of chasing a number.

Mindset

The way you set goals in trading will either help or hurt you. Most traders set goals that make them overtrade. Here’s the right way to do it.

Don’t Set Number Goals

If you tell yourself you need to make $1,000 today, your subconscious will push you to force trades to hit that number. That leads to overtrading, overleveraging, and breaking your model. Don’t attach a number to your daily goal.

Set Process Goals Instead

  • Only take one trade per day within my specific time window.

  • Only enter A+ setups that have all three components of my model confirmed.

  • Journal every trade immediately after closing it.

  • Risk the same percentage on every trade — no exceptions.

  • Close the charts at the end of my window, win or lose.

These goals are 100% within your control. A $1,000 target is not. Process goals compound into profit goals automatically over time — without the emotional damage of chasing a number.

The Game Plan

  • Back test your model for 30 days. Find your win rate and average RR.

  • Forward test for 30 days on a small funded account or demo. Confirm the data holds.

  • Journal every single trade — setup, result, emotion. Use OracleX for AI-powered pattern recognition.

  • If data shows you lose consistently on Mondays → stop trading Mondays. Simple fix. Huge impact.

  • Review your journal every week. What are you doing on winning days that you’re not on losing ones?

Hold The Image

  • Imagine entering 2027 with 20+ payouts on the year, consistent funded account passes, and a 10K month. Hold that image every single day. Then just follow the rules that get you there. The results are inevitable when the process is right.
