From Unprofitable to Profitable

I was working a 3 AM shift and trading the New York open after the gym. Here’s the actual timeline and what made the difference.

The Breaking Point

Understanding market narrative was the single biggest shift. You can know every concept in QT and still lose money if you don’t know when and why to apply them. The time element of QT — knowing that certain things happen at certain times — was what turned the corner. When you have a specific 90-minute window and you know what tends to happen within it, half the psychological battle is already won.

The Timeline

  • Started trading at 18. Part-time job 3 AM–10 AM, straight to gym, home, trade the New York open.

  • TJR Bootcamp → ICT 2022 Mentorship → Daye’s QT Mentorship (start of 2024).

  • First six months: not profitable. Consuming information, building the framework.

  • Month 6–7 of Daye mentorship: consistency started. Consistent account passes and small payouts.

  • One year from joining Daye’s mentorship: full-time. Quit the job. Scaled up.

  • Current: 90 minutes per day, one trade, 3R target, multiple prop firm accounts via copier.

Prop Firm Strategy

  • Lucid Trading (futures): solid payouts, clean rules. A go-to for futures.

  • Alpha Futures (futures): consistent, multiple payouts.

  • My Funded Futures (futures): reliable, trader-friendly conditions.

  • Don’t take my word for which firm — compare every prop firm I rate, with current deals and discounts, at Propfirmio (code BUCKO). Find the one that fits and grab the best rate going.

Themath

  • A repeatable edge. A 1–3R target. One trade per day. 90 minutes on charts. That is the business. It is not exciting. It is not flashy. It is repeatable. And repeatability is everything.
