PSP Soup, 6-Hour PSP & Advanced Gems

Advanced PSP concepts — when to expect a PSP to get run, how to anticipate it, and how to use the 6-hour time frame to know which session is likely to expand.

PSP Soup — Anticipating the Run

Not every PSP holds. Some get ‘souped’ — the swing high or low gets run before the move happens. The asset that closes BULLISH in a bearish PSP is the stronger asset — more likely to get souped above. The asset closing BEARISH is the weaker one — less likely to get souped, better to enter on.

Reading Candle 3 for Early Warning

  • When candle 3 opens, watch its direction. If it heads toward the PSP high/low — do not enter yet.

  • Wait for it to displace AWAY from the PSP level before entering.

  • If it opens and aggressively moves toward the PSP before you can enter — it is likely being souped.

  • The soup itself often creates a sequential SMT — that SSMT is your actual entry.

The 6-Hour PSP

The 6-hour time frame condenses each daily cycle quarter into a single candle. A PSP on the 6-hour chart tells you which daily session is likely to be the reversal point — and the following session (candle 3 on the 6H) is where you look for the expansion.

  • Bearish 6H PSP during AM session (6:00 AM candle) → PM session likely distributes to AM session lows.

  • Bullish 6H PSP during London (midnight candle) → AM session likely distributes to London highs.

  • Across back-tested examples it holds up remarkably well — one of the cleanest bias tools in QT.

Know The Session

  • When a PSP forms on the 6-hour and you know the next session’s direction — you’ve already done 80% of the work before the session even opens.
